NFL's Dirty Little Secret: Players Suffer
I just don't really think I agree with this article. Yes, players get hurt and yes, it's a very intense sport with lots of injuries. The fact of the matter is, it's not the only sport out there with injuries! Other sports don't have that much contact so it may not add up to as much, but still! They were card stacking the evidence against football the entire time! There are all kinds of people out there that can't walk and there are going to be great players with lifetime injuries. That is their own choice. If you love the game, PLAY! There are tons of people out there that have played professional football AND can still walk and talk and enjoy everyday life!

Dog Crate Persuasive Paper
Dog Crate Persuasion
Dog crates are an amazing invention! Dog crate usage dates back to 4500 BC and then it is believed that the tiny insulated houses were constructed out of mud ("Right From Mud Kennels To Modern Day Insulated Dog Houses and Dog Crates"). Dog crates are such a good invention because they can be used to train dogs, if used at a young age they are known as a safe haven for the dogs, and they are easy to use on long trips in the car or if you step out of the house for a quick run to the grocery store.
One way these inventions are very useful is that they can be used to train dogs. You can keep toys in the kennels and teach your dog to fetch and retrieve from the kennels. To do this you throw their toys right into the kennel, they then know the crates are fun to be around because it means they will get to play. Before you let your dog out of its kennel you can train to command things before they are allowed out. Examples of this are sit, lay down, roll over, basically whatever you want, but you have to make sure the dog does it so your not teaching bad habits that he gets away with that you will have to reverse in the future. It can also be a very successful tool in housebreaking your dog ("Crate Training"). Be creative, with dog crates you can use all kinds of techniques to train as much as you want. :)
Another way the dog crate such a good invention is because it creates a safe haven for the dogs, a place of their own. If crated correctly at a young age, these dogs will learn to love to just hang out in their crates. Being fed or treats in their crates helps promote this idea of a safe haven ("The Dog Crate"). Have a favorite toy and a blanket laid down in the bottom of the crate. Make the crate a fun thing to be in! Make sure your crate is also the right size for the species of dog you own. Never punish the dog in the crate or right near it, this will create tension of going into its crate. Dogs with crates that are their very own and a safe place for them to be are easier to handle and it will be less stressful for you and your dog.
A third way these are great inventions is if you have a dog that likes to get into stuff when your back is turned, or you like to travel. With a dog crate you can make a quick run down to the store or step outside for a minute without having to worry. Just kennel up your dog and as soon as your back it will be happy as ever. Your dog will be happy to see you and you will be happy their is no mess to clean up. Also if you like to travel dog crates are very handy. You can just slip them into the back and load up the dog and your ready to go! If you need space at any time when your away, most dog crates compact into a flat cage that you can slide under the seat. So if you happen to go shopping one day and the dog stays with a friend, just fold up the cage and your set for a full day of shopping! Or you can fold up the cage to take it with you while your dog roams free in your car if you like, then when you arrive the dog is in a new place but it is still their very own, and you can still crate them at night. Easy peasy! These are just great for long trips in the car or short trips down town.
I will always own a multiple of dog crates. The only reason you shouldn't have a dog crate is if you don't have a dog. If you don't have a dog your crazy anyways!
As you can see dog crates have many great uses and different reasons why they are so much needed in everyday society! They can be used to train in a variety of different ways, dogs use these crates as a safe haven for themselves, and they are very useful when stepping out of the house or going on car trips. So get one and use it to the uses that will be best for you!

My Dog Aspen
Aspen is a chesapeake bay retriever. She is brown with a big head, broad shoulders, a very muscular body, and a curly top coat along her back. She has a very unique personality, very quirky and fun to be around! She loves the water and is an excellent swimmer. Somedays we go down to the pond and she will play for hours. One of her favorite things to do is stick her nose barely under the water and blow bubbles. My dad says she looks like an alligator. :) Her full registered name is Spinnakers Payne In The Aspen. She is a little over a year old now. She was born Oct 2, 2009. She is getting better and better at hunting pheasants all the time. This year she will begin competing in AKC trials and in 4H. I am really looking forward to the year to come with all its surprises as our journey begins!
